Perhaps here, things will be different.

Curiosity never killed the cat.

October 1, 2008

I keep wondering why curiosity killed the cat. Did the cat just cross the road without looking or what?

Curiosity is essential to learning. We must inquire in order to find out. By stifling curiosity we are stifling learning. Curiosity never killed the cat, stupidity did. As a parent or guardian or person with authority curious minds should not be suppressed but should be directed.

By all means let the child play, let him hurt himself, scrape himself and be scarred. Adults should be there only as safety nets and guide posts. They should play an active part in the development of the child but should not shield the child from experiences that will hurt him for now but teach him lessons to be used in the long run.

Curiosity never killed the cat, ignorance did.

A long hiatus.

It has been a while since I wrote anything here. I have had to return to school and was out for the greater part of the year.

From the midterms to the four weekends of September to the Finals the first semester in school always poses a great difficulty. The hiatus was coming, I knew it and everyone knew it. Tomorrow I return to Makati to finish my studies for ATP.

I’m also going to try to relocate but after a few hours I was hacking and coughing because of tobacco smoke. Everyone really should quit smoking. Its just bad for your health.

I have to finish all my backlog for all of my subjects. This semester is the one where I have been found least prepared and, in several instances, wanting.

I refuse to give up my aspirations of getting high marks and honors for academic performance. I will keep on thrashing and kicking until there is no more fight left in me.
